On Friday, 21st June, the local East Devon community gathered for a delightful evening of cheese and wine to support two commendable causes: Scotty’s Little Soldiers and Pancreatic Cancer UK. The event successfully raised £260, highlighting the community’s generosity and commitment to making a difference.
The event saw attendees enjoying an array of fine wines and a selection of cheeses, which were generously donated by local businesses. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with guests mingling and sharing stories.
Scotty’s Little Soldiers, a charity dedicated to supporting children who have lost a parent in the British Armed Forces and Pancreatic Cancer UK, an organisation committed to finding a cure for pancreatic cancer while supporting those affected by the disease, both thanked the community for their generosity.
Richard, who organised the event said “I am thrilled with the turnout and the amount raised. “It’s incredible to see the community come together for such worthy causes. The support we’ve received tonight will make a significant impact on the lives of many.”
The evening also featured a raffle, with prizes donated by local businesses and individuals. These activities added to the fun and excitement, while further boosting the funds raised for the charities.
