Celebrating Partnerships Event

Yvonne attended the University Of Lincoln Careers & Employability Celebrating Partnerships Event on behalf of JD2E this morning at Lawress Hall.  Such a beautiful setting, greeted by lots of squirrels!  It was nice to take time out of the standard office day to catch up with the progress of the Employer Engagement team who work very hard and offer excellent support for their students. We highly recommend working with them on all matters recruitment!

Monday 30^th June 2025, we started the week with a breakfast get together. Before the busy week ahead we had a chance to catch up with our colleagues and take some time to regroup, before heading back to our desks to work!

JD2E at Paris Airshow 2025: Advancing Integrated ISR Simulation

JD2E was proud to stand at the forefront of innovation at Paris Airshow 2025, showcasing the Deployable Mission Operator System (DMOS)—our flagship simulation and training platform purpose-built for real-world, multi-domain ISR.

Developed by operators for operators, DMOS provides scalable, modular training across air, land, and maritime environments. Its power lies in integration. At Paris, we demonstrated a full mission suite combining CarteNav’s AIMS-ISR software, Teledyne FLIR’s Star SAFIRE® sensor, and Smith Myers’ ARTEMIS handset geolocation system. Waddington Industry Day and Awards Dinner

JD2E enjoyed being a part of this year’s Waddington Industry Day and Awards Dinner.  Neal and Mike hosted the JD2E stand during the day and Nicki presented our sponsored award for Aviator of the Year in the evening.  The meal provided was delicious and the evening saw many well-deserved nominees and award recipients.  Thank you to RAF Waddington for hosting and to Amy at the Greater Lincolnshire Regional Defence and Security Cluster for organising.

Attending the JOSCAS

Swaz (JD2E MD) had the privilege of attending the JEWOSC Outstanding Service and Contribution Awards (JOSCAS) on behalf of the Association of Old Crows (AOC), to present the AOC Award for Distinguished Service to Electronic Warfare by a Junior Rank.

A fantastic evening — months of preparation came together brilliantly. It was great to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new members of the ever-impressive EW community.

Walk and Talk ‘with a Flake’

Our events committee organised a ‘Walk & talk with a flake’ for last Friday, 30th May. Part of the Viking Way walk routes through just a few minutes from our offices and we never even knew about it! As it was half term, we were joined by some of our employee’s children and pets too, the views from the snippet of the Viking Way we walked was beautiful. The committee arranged a visit from Party Delights too for a refreshing ice cream post walk. A great start to a Friday!

VE Day Celebrations 8^th May 2025

Today, 8 May 2025, marks the 80th anniversary of VE Day. JD2E joined with our local community and attended a memorial service at our local church in the morning. 

We then had the pleasure of joining many of the businesses who share our working location at a lunch time celebration organised by the NDC Group who look after Wellingore Hall. Whilst we are all busy working in this beautiful location we rarely get the opportunity to see and chat to our ‘working neighbours’ and our immediate neighbours. Huge thanks to Richard and Samantha for organising the amazing event.

Pancreatic Cancer Fundraising Certificate

We were delighted to receive this thank you from Pancreatic Cancer UK for our Easter Egg Raffle! Thanks again to all who helped.
Over the years, survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers but sadly, for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case. More than half of people diagnosed die within 3 months – this is unacceptable. Thanks to our fundraising, Pancreatic Cancer UK can continue to fund research breakthroughs – their research funding will support the development of a simple test to diagnose pancreatic cancer earlier and ensure people get life-saving treatment faster.

Every pound you have raised will help us continue our work and demand better for everyone affected by the disease.

Welcome Mike Frankel!

JD2E are delighted to welcome Mike Frankel who joins us as an instructor following over 40 years’ service in the Royal Air Force. He brings with him a wealth of operational and instructional experience from the Airspace Battle Management environment, ranging from Radar and Tactical Data Link management to the delivery of specialist Air Operations courses.

Inaugural Event from the Ents Committee

A few members of our team have created an ‘events committee’ to arrange a monthly get together to allow us time to come together as a team, we appreciate that not everyone can make every event as service provision takes priority but our aim is to vary days and times so everyone can make something.

Today was the inaugural event – a lunch time quiz with home made cakes. The winning team were presented with the amazing Quiz Master trophy for safe keeping until the next time!

Thanks to the volunteers (and their partners for baking) – we look forward to the next event!
